Birth Experiences

Hello dear midwives, I also want to thank you. My son was born on May 3, 2025. Being able to experience my birth with your help gives me such great joy and strength. I was 44 years old at the time of birth, and it is my first child. Other hospitals only saw me as a high-risk birth, and that almost cost me and my son this beautiful and powerful experience. I am so grateful that I came to you at the last minute! Please keep doing exactly what you're doing!

Dear midwife team, I consider myself very fortunate to have brought all three of our children into the world through beautiful, well-supported births at Havelhöhe – there could have been no better place for me. On December 13, I gave birth to our third child in a powerful, beautiful water birth with wonderful support from Kaya and Norina. Thank you so much for the sensitive, attentive, calm and professional care from you. I felt so well taken care of and welcome. The postpartum ward was exactly the right place for me to arrive in peace and focus entirely on our newborn. All the midwives, nursing staff and doctors were so loving, competent and present, without it ever becoming hectic in the room. The food is really, really good – I would be very interested in the recipes for the grain porridges and the lentil curry. My "thank you" cannot be big enough, because I will forever keep all three birth experiences in precious memory. The three letters that the birth-attending midwives each wrote as a farewell move me to tears again and again, and I will someday give these to my children.

Dear midwives, these letters are worth their weight in gold. I still have the letter from dear midwife Marion. This letter is (this Saturday) 12 years old. During my daughter's birth this year, this got somewhat lost. But instead, I received a wonderful guided visualization told by midwife Kaya right before the C-section. And this guided visualization is also worth its weight in gold!

Our son Jannik was born on October 17 with the help of midwife Nancy at your facility, and despite the not-so-easy birth for me, I always felt wonderfully cared for and never alone. The postpartum ward is also great: Everyone is always there and helps, no matter what you need – and that, without having to feel guilty. You are all worth your weight in gold there! P.S.: The food is really extremely good, I have never experienced that in a hospital before!

I gave birth at Havelhöhe in August, and I am still drawing strength from this wonderful experience today. A thousand thanks!! And: Can one perhaps ask for a few recipes to cook at home? The food was outstanding!

Dear midwife team at Havelhöhe, on October 10, 2025, our son Bruno was born with the help of Anna and Antonia as well as two great doctors. We wanted to send you a small (positive) feedback about our time on the postpartum ward. First of all, we are incredibly grateful to all the midwives, nurses and doctors for this wonderful experience that made the complications during birth but also simply the entire stay so great. We felt completely comfortable and very well cared for!! We would especially like to highlight the delicious food, especially the muesli bar, which we really liked, particularly the option to stay in a family room. As a small family, such amenities make the start much easier and we wish such luck for everyone! A thousand thanks for everything, we will definitely come back.
